Hello, WriteByNighters,
We here at WriteByNight spend so much time helping you get your work into submission shape and finding your future agents and publishers that we forget to celebrate our own writing accomplishments.
Here's a quick list of mine:
1.
2.
3.
OK, so I haven't done much lately. Aside from a story contest last April, I haven't submitted any work for almost three years.
Darcie Abbene has landed legendary agent Matt Bialer to represent her novel. Congrats to Darcie, and best of luck!
monica teresa ortiz was a guest curator for Scalawag's Poetry & Playlists for National Poetry Month. She's been named a Texas Folklife Community fellow and will appear in the spring issue of Hayden's Ferry!
I defy you to listen only once to the title track from Tom Andes's recent EP, Static on Every Station. I can't get enough of it.
Work from Tariq Shah has recently appeared or will appear in Diagram,
Joyland, and Prelude.
Man, it's hard work keeping up with all of these talented writers, editors, and teachers. When do they sleep?
If you've got recent accomplishments of your own, reply to this email and tell me all about them! Soon I'll do a similar message dedicated to news from you lovely WriteByNighters.
In the meantime, be well, and happy writing!
