Dear writer,
Thanks to your efforts to spread the word, WriteByNight has chatted
with some book designers, and we're thisclose to officially taking on one, if not two or three. I'll introduce them in a future message.
But what I want to introduce you to today is the reason we're hiring designers in the first place:
WriteByNight is now your official one-stop shop for self-publication!
Our new self-publication package includes everything you'd expect -- a full edit & proofread! cover design! finalization & upload to KDP, Ingram, or any platform of your choice! -- in addition to elements you won't find elsewhere!
Self-publication has one major drawback: It's 100 percent your responsibility to make readers aware your book exists and is available for purchase.
But with your self-publication package, WriteByNight will shoulder some of that load for you and teach
you how to hoist the rest on your own by way of:
- A Media Consultation: Using the experience he gained as Michael Crichton's publicist for sixteen years, Joe Marich will read your manuscript in full and meet with you to discuss media strategies;
- A Marketing Consultation: John Sibley Williams, our staff literary agent and former marketing director at an indie press, will help you brainstorm a plan to spread the word about your book;
- WBN Advertising: After you publish, we’ll feature you and your book (with purchase links) right here in this
newsletter! Multiple times! Including your very own white space to do with as you wish.
And I'll be your project manager throughout, coordinating every step of the process and making sure we’re meeting your vision.
By the time you hold a published book in your hands, you'll have worked with seven or more WBN publishing professionals (aka the best in the biz).
Maybe you've tried for so-called traditional publication. Maybe you even got a nibble or two from an agent or indie press.
But the literary establishment doesn't take chances anymore.
And aside from our pals at Atmosphere Press, hybrid publishers offer you the world but disappear the moment they get your check.
We're not going anywhere. Every WriteByNight staff member is a writer, and almost every one of us has had our books published. We know how important it is to get every detail right.
So that's what we'll do.
I don't want to rush you, but... the process will take a few weeks, and we're only a handful of months away from the holidays. Seems a good time to get
started.
Reply to this email directly so we can talk about your book. And if you sign on by the end of September, I'll even include your cover for free!!
You'll welcome the judgment.
