Dear writers,
The holidays are behind us. The turn of the new year has come and gone. Finally settled back into our regular routines and with February almost upon us, we think it's high time for a little WriteByNighter love, don't
you?
It's our great pleasure today to feature the awesome accomplishments of five WriteByNighters who this month have knocked it out of the park.
Long-time WriteByNighter Martin Barkley has placed two short stories this
month, in WORK magazine and Queen Mob's Teahouse. Read them. You'll like them.
Book coaching client Marcia Feldt Bates has published her novel, The Oys &
Joys. It's available for pre-order at Amazon now. Get it while it's hot!
Monica Morales, a book coaching client of yours truly, saw her debut novel, Rachel's Folly, soar to the top of the charts ... literally. Featured for a one-day promotion on BookBub, the book in a matter of hours become the #1 downloaded eBook in the entire U.S. Kindle store. There were more than 50,000 downloads in 48 hours. Whoa.
WBNer John O'Connor's new poetry collection, Half the Truth, is available from Snake Nation Press. For those of you in the New York area, John is reading at Book Court in Brooklyn this Sunday, January 31st. I'll be there. Will you?
Coaching client Melissa Reynolds has a short-short story in Every Day Fiction,
her first ever publication. Way to go, Melissa!
Way to go, all of you, and I don't just mean these five amazing writers we've featured here.
I mean all of you WriteByNighters out there, putting in the hours, hacking away at those keyboards,
keeping the wheels of creativity turning and those new pages coming. Showing up to do the work is an accomplishment in itself.
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: writing is hard. But you're doing it. And for that, we salute you.
What's happening in your writing life? (Don't say nothing. I know something is happening!) Click "reply" to let me know. You deserve some love, too.
Proudly, fondly,
warmly, Justine
