Your Best Books of 2016

Published: Fri, 01/06/17

Greetings, writers,

A new year, a new stack of books to be read. A stack we never get to the bottom of, seeing as how we stack quicker than we read.

Still, we're looking for more great new books to read. Because we just can't help it.

Today on the blog, David shares his favorite books of 2016, and is asking for you to share the most enjoyable books you read last year. (Even if -- hint, hint -- you're the one who wrote them!)

Doing so puts you in a drawing to win ... a book! 'Natch.

Up for grabs is one of three copies of WriteByNight friend Martin Barkley's The Lovesong of Smith Oliver Smith, new from Red Bird Chapbooks.

(And hey, Austin, Texas, friends: Martin will read and answer questions at Malvern Books' Novel Night, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. Don't miss it!)

That's about it for this week, folks. We're still sweeping confetti off the floor over here, and, of course, writing writing writing. We hope you're doing the same.

And oh yeah, don't forget to share your 2017 writing and/or reading resolution if you haven't already. Just go to our blog and fill in the blank:

"In 2017 I will ________."

Because remember, a little accountability can go a loooooooooong way.

Happy New Year,
Justine & David
