Flowing Body, Flowing Mind

Howdy, WriteByNighters,

Have you been feeling the creative flow lately?

Writer and creativity coach (and WBN pal) Sid Kemp sure hopes so: He wants all artists to feel the flow. But if you can't find it, he's here to help.

Today on the blog we're offering the first installment in Sid's new series, "Creative Flow," in which he'll offer strategies for finding and maintaining your creative energy.

In this first post, "Flowing Body, Flowing Mind," Sid discusses the different types of creative flow and lets us all in on a little secret. Not to spoil it, but let's just say: One kind of flow can lead to another.

"Once we realize that creative flow is different for each of us," Sid writes, "we can identify our own unique feeling of flow.

"And once we do that — once we know how our own creative flow feels — we can get it going anytime, even on days when we're resistant."

And Sid has some questions: What does creative flow feel like for you? What are some methods you use to generate creative flow when it doesn't come on its own?

Let us (and Sid!) know in the comments section of the post, or reply to this email to keep it between us.

Have a very creative weekend, and may you feel your flow!

Cheers,
Justine & David
