Writing Goals Check-in (a.k.a. Uh Oh!)

Published: Sat, 02/04/17

Happy February, friends!

About a month ago, many of you shared your 2017 literary goals on our site by filling in this deceptively simple blank: "In 2017, I will              ."

The only drawback to doing such a thing? We know where to find you!

Since, duh, public accountability works best when one is held accountable in public, we're going to start -- right now -- offering regular check-ins on your resolutions.

You say you're one month closer to meeting your 2017 goals? Hurray! Congratulations! Stop by this week's blog post and share your success story.

You say you're off to a slow start and maybe in need of some encouragement? Perhaps you're coming up against a roadblock and could use some group brainstorming on how to leap over it?

I heard a rumor that this week's blog post is a great place to find such help.

Whether you're off to a smooth start in 2017 or a rough one, come hang out with some fellow writers. Cheer each other on when things are going well, and, perhaps more importantly, cheer each other on when things are going not well.

Just because we write alone doesn't mean we have to write lonely.

Onward!

P.S. If you know someone who might benefit from today's message, please feel free to forward this email along. Go on, help a writer out.

P.P.S. ICYMI, the first post of Sid Kemp's new series "Creative Flow" is now available. It's called "Flowing Body, Flowing Mind," and you can (and should!) check it out here.
