Reading Recs for Holiday Travel

Published: Tue, 11/21/17

Happy Thanksgiving, WriteByNighters,

Many of you will be, or are already, on the go during this most anxiety-provoking travel week. Some of us will seek tranquility through some combination of alcohol and Dramamine.

Others of us will turn to books.

To that end, we're asking you to let your fellow writers and readers know about your favorite books of 2017 in this week's blog post, "Recommended Reading For Thanksgiving Travel."

No rules! They don't have to have been published in 2017, and we're not looking for specific genres: Just the best books you read this year.

Simply follow the link and leave your picks in the comments section. Go on, help a reader out!

To get things started, I've included my own list, made up of novels, story collections, some nonfiction selections, and one very long short story that's just about perfect for a plane ride.

To see 'em all, visit this week's post, "Recommended Reading For Thanksgiving Travel."

And if you plan to write during the holiday but are afraid of distractions, check out our post from last holiday season, "Holidays, Family & Writing," for some tips on how to stay on task. (If you want to!)

Have a great Turkey Day, writers! Happy and safe travels, and stay in touch.

Cheers,
David
