This week's question is a simple one: Do you listen to music when you write, and do you listen to music when you read?
I've never been able to write or read at home while
music is playing; I need it to be as near to silent as possible.
But I often write in public: in the park, at a bar, at a coffee place. And those
settings are noisy, and often involve music.
I can't imagine being able to write at a bar without music playing in the background. And I can't imagine being able to write at home with music playing in the
background.
Am I a total weirdo?
So, do you listen to music while you're reading or writing? If no, why not? If yes, how does it help you? And what kind of music do you listen to?
