Happy New Year, WriteByNighters!
Every year on our blog we like to offer you the opportunity to express your literary goals for the upcoming year.
Even if you don't necessarily believe in resolutions, the changing of the calendar is always the chance for a fresh start, should you be in need of one.
And the accountability that comes with expressing your goals in a public space can help give you a boost when you need one.
So, with all of that in mind, why don't you head on over to this week's post, "Your 2020 Writing Goals," and let us know what you have in mind.
What are your writing goals for the upcoming year? And how will you achieve them? Do you think you'll change your writing approach at all in 2020, or are you happy with where you're at?
And what are your 2020 reading goals, if you have any?
My goals, which you can read more about in the post, are fairly vague, with one exception: In 2020, I want to publish fiction. I've never done that before -- I haven't even submitted anything in more than a decade, when I was still in school -- but I'm starting to feel like I'm ready to give it a try.
And any discussion of a new year and new writing goals seems a good time to remind you that WriteByNight is always here for you, ready to offer our signature one-on-one services any time you need them.
If you're having trouble getting started on a new project, or in need of some guidance along the way, take a look at our various coaching services.
And our publication assistance services will help you usher that finished manuscript into the world, whether it's through research and preparation of your submission materials or through our publication partnership with Atmosphere Press.
Happy new year, writers! Thank you for your continued interest in WriteByNight, and for letting me blab in your ear every week in this space and on our blog.
