Dear WriteByNighter,
Let's all take a road trip to Baltimore, separately but together.
About plot/story, a writer once said something like, “If your goal is to get from here to Baltimore, it doesn’t matter what route you take, so long as you end up in Baltimore.”
The opening line is this: "Take your accordion and buzz off."
The closing line is this: "I should think so."
What you do in the middle -- how you get from here to Baltimore -- is totally up to you.
You have sixty words (fifty of your own, plus the ten built into the lines provided) to tell your story. You can enter as many stories as you wish. Write or copy/paste them into the comments section of the post. The winner gets books.
You'll all begin and end the same way. I can't wait to see what happens in between!
(As a brief postscript, we're having some problems with the comments section; if you experience trouble, especially on Chrome, try a different browser: Safari, Edge, Firefox, etc.)
