Hi writers,
There's a tweet that sticks with me almost ten weeks later: "Future historians will be asked which quarter of 2020 they specialize in."
It sparked a daydream: I imagined myself decades in the future trying to describe this year to someone who didn't experience it, including the things that have happened already and the things I fear might happen.
In fifty words or fewer, write a reply to the following question: "Grandma/Grandpa/Whoever, can you tell me that story again about what happened in 2020?"
Interpret this however you'd like, and take it in whatever direction feels right to you, i.e., follow your instincts.
Enter as many times as you wish. Write or paste your story or stories in the comments section of the post. Get your entries in by end of day Sunday, August 30.
I'll take into account the number of up-votes a story receives, so if you like someone else's work, be a good sport and hit the ol' plus sign.
Future 2020 historians may comb this blog for the best responses, so let's put on a show for them!
